Apple Sauce

How to make apple sauce

Ingredients:

1.3 kg mixed apples
450 kg sugar
1 lt water
Half a lemon

Chop of the tops, bottoms, peel and core the apples.

Add the water, apples, sugar and lemon to a large pot.

(I forgot to core them)

Bring up to a gentle boil. Once boiling, reduce down and simmer till the apples are soft.

Mash the apples, and push through a sieve.

Return to the heat.

Leave on a drying rack till cool.

This has been made with sugar so should have some shelf life. Am going to see how long it lasts for to check. I would say a month.
